Frequently Asked Questions

What medical issues do you treat at Parker Place?

Our providers treat any medical issue that you or your child’s doctor feels could be improved with lifestyle changes such as improved nutrition and increased physical activity. We also treat the full spectrum of pediatric endocrinology disorders. In addition, our developmental behavioral specialist diagnoses and offers ongoing care for a variety of developmental and behavioral issues.

If you have a particular concern about your child’s health but are unsure whether our providers can help, please feel free to contact our office for more information.

What ages will you see at Parker Place?

Our pediatric medical providers will generally see patients from birth through age 21. We also treat a select group of young adults who are slightly past this age but whose complex medical needs require the additional support and attentiveness that is the foundation of our model of care.

Which provider will we see?

The provider you are scheduled with depends on several factors, including the condition being evaluated or treated and your schedule preferences. As an endocrinologist, Dr. Parker is the appropriate clinician for certain endocrine disorders. Dr. Mogavero, a board-certified pediatrician with the same collaborative approach to care, also treats some endocrine problems and is a great fit for lifestyle medicine visits. When you call to schedule, our staff will suggest which provider(s) would be appropriate and can see you the soonest, so that you can decide how you would like to proceed.

Do you do bloodwork or other medical testing on-site?

While we do not offer on-site laboratory testing or imaging, your provider will write orders for a facility that is convenient for you.

How does your office approach sensitive topics? I don’t want my child to feel badly about needing medical care for their condition.

At Parker Place, the children and teenagers we treat are dealing with a wide variety of health issues: everything from struggling with their weight to growing at a different rate than their peers to experiencing physical development that outpaces their chronological age and ability to understand. In addition, many of our patients also experience depression, anxiety, gender dysphoria, and other challenges. Our practice is a welcoming, accepting and empowering place for all families, and we want kids to feel great about coming here for care. Please be assured that your child will, at all times, be treated with discretion and respect, and sensitive topics will be addressed in a kind and age-appropriate manner.

I got a jump start to my daughter’s heath and wellness today! I have many endocrine related issues in my family history so knowing I have Parker Place to see her over the years is a relief. You really have to search far and wide for a doctor that takes a holistic approach to different health conditions. My visit this week was fabulous. It’s a warm and loving place to be. Also, the office is extremely clean. Thank you Jennifer and Dr. Parker!
