Who We Treat
The medical practice at Parker Place is directed by Dr. Elizabeth Parker, a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist, whose focus is on using lifestyle choices to treat, in whole or in part, many medical problems facing children and adolescents today.
The same problems that are affecting many adults in our society, such as Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, and obesity, are becoming increasingly prevalent in children and youth as well. Our providers welcome children and teens who may be struggling to maintain a healthy weight and whose weight may be affecting their health. These conditions include, but are not limited to:
High cholesterol
High blood pressure
Insulin resistance
Pre-diabetes
Type 2 diabetes
Insulin resistance
Elevated liver enzymes
Chronic constipation
In addition, our providers treat a variety of general pediatric endocrine disorders including but not limited to:
Thyroid, pituitary or adrenal problems
Poor growth
Short stature
Early or late puberty
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)
Turner syndrome
Klinefelter syndrome
Calcium and Vitamin D disorders
Our providers also treat children and adolescents who may be experiencing nutritional deficiencies or hormone imbalances, either independently of other problems or as a result of other medical issues. Our office’s kind, discreet, and judgment-free approach to care makes us an ideal resource for families dealing with sensitive health concerns or who need additional support in helping their child build healthy habits.
Finally, under our new RISE wellness initiative, Dr. Parker now offers doctor-facilitated wellness consultations to any individual or family seeking to make positive changes in their health. These unique, self-pay consultations are completely customized based on your unique wellness goal or challenge, and you’ll receive Dr. Parker’s undivided attention, support, and carefully curated resources.
