May is National Salad Month, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a great salad all year round! Salads are a great way to not only supercharge your diet with nutrients, but also with FLAVOR!
A great salad is a far cry from the boring bowl of iceberg lettuce many of us grew up with. There are so many great ingredients you can add for color, texture, and (most importantly) taste! Salads can incorporate any combination of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors, so there’s no reason not to get creative in your kitchen. Try adding fruits, cheeses, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices. You never know what delicious results your experiments might yield!
