MAGGIE YUCE, LCSW-C
Maggie Yuce is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with a certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) who offers individual, family, and group therapy for clients of all ages. Maggie is passionate about seeing a future world without suicide and uses a strengths-based, solution focused approach to assist clients in meeting their goals. She utilizes strategies from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Art, Play, and Internal Family Systems Therapy to meet clients where they are and improve emotional regulation.
Born in Annapolis at what was then Anne Arundel Medical Center, Maggie grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland. She earned a Human Services and Health Behavior Science double major at the University of Delaware, and spent her college years engaging in service with Alpha Phi Omega (a community service fraternity) and SAEYC (Student Association for the Education of Young Children). Maggie then attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work where she completed an internship with the NIH (National Institute of Health) and graduated in 2018. She began her career as a therapist at a residential group home for adolescents in Baltimore where she gained experience working with a variety of diagnoses including Post Traumatic Stress, Generalized Anxiety, Major Depression, and Conduct Disorders.
Over the years Maggie has also worked in a high school setting for a program specifically for pregnant and parenting teenagers and at a community mental health agency where she enjoyed supervising graduate students during their internships. She also currently works part-time as an individual and family therapist for an intensive outpatient program for adolescents and young adults.
Maggie is a strong advocate for mental health services for all and serves as a volunteer for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Metropolitan Baltimore. Outside of Parker Place, Maggie can be found hiking in the woods with her dog Harlee, coaching/playing volleyball, watching rerun seasons of Survivor, and eating delicious food made by her husband. They are also on a mission to visit all 63 National Parks in the US!
