HOLIDAY GIVING TREE:

HELP US MAKE MAGIC THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!

 

We’re thrilled to once again partner with our amazing Parker Place community to bring holiday joy to local children in need. These families all receive services here at Parker Place and are experiencing financial hardship and food insecurity. With your support, they’ll get to experience some of the magic of Christmas.

 

In 2024, with the generous support of our Parker Place community, we fulfilled the holiday wish lists of 82 children from 34 families!

There are lots of ways you can help:

  • Purchase one or more toys/gifts (approx. $25-30 value) from a child’s wish list, and/or an essential clothing item they need

  • Sponsor a Family Pantry Bag to provide healthy nourishment to a family affected by hunger

  • Donate smaller quantities of individual items from our shopping list, to help us supplement Pantry Bags (or create additional ones) as needed

  • Send an Amazon e-gift card to our office at angeltree@parkerplaceannapolis.com. Our practice manager will use every dollar to purchase gifts and clothing for kids not chosen from the Giving Tree!

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Choose a recipient: Stop by Parker Place to select a child/family to support, as well as the type of donation (toy/gift, clothing item, and/or Family Pantry Bag). You are welcome to choose as many recipients as you’d like. Can’t visit in person? No problem — see the next section to participate virtually!

  2. Shop for gifts/food: Purchase the item for your chosen recipient(s) (new items only, please). If donating a Family Pantry Bag, please be sure to include the specific items from the list!

  3. Drop off or ship: Bring your unwrapped donations to our office during business hours anytime before Monday, December 15. You can also ship gifts directly to our office — just send them to the attention of our practice manager and include a gift message so we know who they’re for and who they’re from!

  4. We’ll handle the wrapping: Our team and community volunteers will wrap all gifts and clothing, assemble the Family Pantry Bags, and have everything ready for Receiving Families to pick up from our office in time for Christmas!

VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION IS ALSO WELCOME!

Can’t make it to the office? You can still help make a child’s holiday bright!

  • Complete the short form below and we’ll match you with a Receiving Family or child, based on your preferences.

  • Purchase your items online and have them shipped directly (without gift wrapping!) to: Parker Place (Attn: Practice Manager), 116 Defense Highway, Suite 403, Annapolis, MD 21401.

  • Or, send an Amazon e-gift card to angeltree@parkerplaceannapolis.com and we’ll use it to purchase gifts and clothing for kids not yet chosen from the Giving Tree. Click here to be taken directly to Amazon’s digital gift card purchase page!

  • We’ll have your items ready for families to pick up before Christmas!

GIVING TREE PROGRAM TIMELINE:

  • Monday, November 24th: Holiday Giving Tree displayed in our waiting room with the wish lists from Receiving Families requesting assistance.

  • Monday, December 8th: Deadline for digital gift cards (to allow us time to shop for the families!)

  • Monday, December 15th: Deadline for toys/gifts/clothing/food; all unwrapped items should be brought to Parker Place no later than 5pm

  • Tuesday, December 16th - Friday, December 19th: Families may pick up wrapped gifts and Pantry Bags from office!

    All sponsors and recipients will be kept completely anonymous!
