HOLIDAY GIVING TREE:
ADOPT A FAMILY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!
We are very excited to partner once again with our wonderful Parker Place community to provide holiday gifts and clothing to children whose families are struggling financially this holiday season!
In 2023, with the generous support of our Parker Place community, we fulfilled the holiday wish lists of 43 children from 19 families!
Economic hardship is a daily reality for many families, making what should be a magical season into a stressful one. By signing up as a Giving Family, you can help to provide some of that magic by “adopting” a family who may have trouble purchasing holiday gifts. Each Receiving Family has one or more children who receive services here at Parker Place - helping locally doesn’t get much closer than that!
Our Receiving Families have provided us with their children’s wish lists as well as sizes for essential clothing items their children may need. Giving Families are asked to provide the listed gifts; any other items such as clothing and/or parent gifts are completely optional. Information on our Receiving Families is displayed on the beautiful holiday tree in our waiting room. You can select a family to adopt by visiting our office. You can also complete the short form below and we’ll match you with a family to adopt!
HOW TO DONATE:
Stop by and browse the wish lists of our Receiving Families, and select a family that may be a good fit. If you can’t come into the office in person, we’d love for you to still participate - please see the next section for details!
Purchase the item(s) you’ve selected (new items only, please, unless otherwise specified!).
Bring your unwrapped donations to the Parker Place office during business hours, anytime between now and Monday, December 16th. Be sure to let us know your Receiving Family’s identifying number, so that we can route their gifts accordingly! (You can also purchase items online and have them shipped directly to our office - please just be sure to include a gift message containing the family’s identifying number!)
Our staff and volunteers will wrap the donated gifts and clothing and have them ready for Receiving Families to pick up from our office in time for Christmas!
VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION IS ALSO WELCOME!
If you can’t make it to the office but would like to brighten a child’s holiday, we would be grateful for your help!
Complete the donation offer form below and we’ll select a Receiving Family for you based on any preferences you may have. Or, if you prefer, you can send an Amazon gift card to our office (angeltree@parkerplaceannapolis.com) and we’ll use it to purchase gifts and clothing for Receiving Families who may not have been selected for adoption from the Giving Tree! Purchase gifts online and have them shipped directly, without gift wrapping, to Parker Place, Attn: Practice Manager at 116 Defense Highway, Suite 403, Annapolis, MD 21401. (Be sure to include the identifying family number provided to you so we know who should receive your gift!)
We’ll then wrap your items and have them ready for the receiving family to pick up before Christmas!
GIVING TREE PROGRAM TIMELINE:
Monday, November 25th: Holiday Giving Tree displayed in our waiting room with the wish lists from Receiving Families requesting assistance.
Monday, December 16th: Deadline for wish list donations; all unwrapped gifts and clothing to be brought to Parker Place by 4:00pm
Tuesday, December 17th - Friday, December 20th: Families may pick up wrapped gifts from the Parker Place office
All donors and recipients will be kept completely anonymous!
