ADHD MANAGEMENT

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a very common neurodevelopment disorder affecting both children and adults. For kids and teens, ADHD can significantly impact their functioning both at home and in school, as well as their interactions with family and friends. At Parker Place, Dr. Myra Cleary offers ADHD evaluations for children and teenagers, as well as ongoing ADHD medication management when appropriate.

ADHD ASSESSMENTS

If you are concerned that your child may have ADHD, an assessment with Dr. Cleary can provide clarity and guidance. In this single-session assessment, Dr. Cleary will evaluate your child and how their symptoms may be affecting them at home, in school, and in their social relationships. If a diagnosis is made, she will offer recommendations for treatment, suggested accommodations to request from your child’s school or childcare facility, and additional resources.

If your child has a current diagnosis of ADHD and you would like to transfer care to Dr. Cleary, she will re-evaluate your child’s ADHD and screen for other conditions that often co-exist with ADHD. A treatment plan and recommended resources will also be provided.

Please note: Single-session assessments are ADHD-specific. If you are concerned about other types of developmental delays, learning disorders, and/or behavioral problems, a two-session developmental behavioral pediatric assessment is appropriate.

MEDICATION MANAGEMENT & FOLLOW-UP CARE

Dr. Cleary will discuss treatment options with you, including medication and behavioral approaches. She can prescribe medications for ADHD and certain other conditions. Generally, when your child begins a new medication, a follow-up appointment is required in approximately 2-4 weeks. Once they are established with an effective medication, appointments are required approximately every three months.

ADHD ASSESSMENT & MEDICATION MANAGEMENT COSTS

Dr. Cleary’s private pay rates for ADHD services are as follows:

• Single-session ADHD assessment: $375*

• Follow-up appointments for medication management & ongoing care: $95

* Note: up to two ADHD questionnaires per assessment visit, when indicated, are included.
